Step 1. Receive your invoices
- Download electronic invoicing data with the click of a button or schedule a date and time for FedEx DirectLink to automatically download your invoicing data
- Electronic transmission is data encrypted
- Data is transmitted free of charge
- Transaction log records all transmissions received (and sent)
Step 2. Review your invoice data
The data view has two sections
- Invoice Summary view displays invoice header record information
- Invoice number
- Master EDI number
- Invoice date
- Bill-To account number
- Net charges
- Amount due
- Shipment record count
- Ground store number
- Detail view displays shipment level information
- One shipment view for each tracking id
- All of the data in the database for a single tracking id is displayed in a single shipment view
Step 3. Process your invoicing data
- Search for and retrieve any combination of invoice data for processing or analysis
- Allocate shipping charges to different departments in your organization
- Request and receive graphic Signature Proof of Delivery (SPOD) for Express shipments
- Electronically submit shipment level adjustment requests (Express only)
- Receive an electronic response to an invoice adjustment request that automatically updates the current balance due (Express only)
- Export invoicing and remittance data to interface with other applications and internal information systems
- Select and print available report templates
Step 4. Pay your invoices
- Send electronic remittance advice file (a date and time for this transmission can also be scheduled)
- The remittance advice voucher automatically prints for your convenience
- Remit payment to FedEx either by paper check or Electronic Funds Transfer for the exact amount transmitted in the remittance advice file
Step 5. Archive your invoices
- Create a separate archive database to store invoices and shipment records after all transactions are complete and the invoice is no longer required for immediate reference
- Define the location where the archive database is created (i.e., server, PC, etc.)
