Easily schedule a one-time pickup online
If you only ship occasionally, on-call pickups are a flexible option. You can schedule a pickup
through the pickup application or while creating a label online.

Here’s how to schedule a one-time pickup:
One-time express or ground package pickup
Express pickups are perfect when you need a pickup fast. Schedule a same-day or next-day pickup.
Schedule a ground pickup the next business day or up to two weeks later.
One-time freight pickup
Shipping something that’s over 150 lbs.? Schedule a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight pickup up to 10 business days in advance. You can ship within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Use FedEx Express® Freight pickup for 1-, 2-, or 3-day domestic shipments, and 1–5-day international delivery. You don't need a FedEx account to schedule a freight pickup.

Not going to be home for a pickup?
You don’t have to be present for a FedEx pickup. But be sure to leave your package somewhere safe and accessible to the driver. Look for a FedEx door tag that confirms pickup and provides tracking information. If the driver determines your package can’t be picked up, the door tag will explain why and tell you what to do next.

If you have a door tag that tells you to pick up your shipment, get location details. To redirect a package that’s already on its way, request to hold it at a retail store.
Convenience is automatic with automated pickups
If you ship regularly, but not every day, consider using automated FedEx pickups. You won't have to schedule your pickups. We’ll only come on the days you need us, saving you time and money.

- You can use only one FedEx account number per single pickup location.
- We’ll keep you informed of your daily pickup status with notifications.

Choose this solution if your average daily shipping spend is $50, or if you ship at least one package per day.
Recurring ground package pickups
This option is for customers who have at least seven packages and $50 in FedEx Ground shipping charges per week.

- $3 for each next-day or future-day package (plus $1/package if scheduled by phone)

One-time freight pickup pricing:
- LTL pickups at businesses are free.
- FedEx Express Freight pickups at businesses are free Monday through Friday. There is a charge for Saturday pickups.
The cost depends on the type of automated pickups you schedule: express or ground. Currently, automated freight pickups are not available.
Automated express pickups are free Monday through Friday. On Saturdays the cost is $16 per package.
Automated ground pickups are $18 per week. There’s no fee during weeks with no pickups.
Recurring express pickups are free if your average daily shipping spend is $50, or if you ship at least one package per day.
Recurring ground pickups are either $21.50 or $43 per week, based on the previous week’s total charges for FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, and FedEx Ground® Economy services.

Use your tracking number to follow your pickup’s journey.
You can view your pickup window in the My Pickups tab. Your packages should be ready at least two hours before your business closes.
Log in to your account. Go to the Ship menu tab and click on Schedule and Manage Pickups. Then, select the My Pickups tab and cancel or change your future pickup.
FedEx offers Saturday pickups for a fee for the following services:
- One-time express
- One-time express freight
- Automated express
Typically, FedEx picks up packages from drop boxes between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Some apartments or condo buildings have recurring pickups set up for residents. Check with the front desk to see if your building has a recurring pickup.

If you miss a recurring or automated pickup, either keep the packages for your next pickup or drop them off at a nearby retail location. Depending on the service, you may be charged for the attempted pickup.
No. Ground, express, and freight shipments can be picked up only by their respective drivers. For example, ground drivers can’t pick up express shipments.
